Jewel's Pets

You yawn, stretching back to stretch your muscles. You've been doing a lot of walking and exploring, you think to yourself, and you've gotten pretty tired. You continue walking, knowing the garden isn't a good place to rest. Especially since you don't know what creature has taken this as their home. Rubbing your tired eyes a little, you look around the square garden area, benches that have been smoothed over many years lining it's outter walls. At the very end of the leafy, flower speckled garden, you see an almost royal looking bed with over stuffed pillows covered in night blue velvet. You shake your head, making sure you're not seeing things, and walk closer to the comfortable bed.

It's rather large, you think, for a person or a small creature. Deciding not to bother with who it might belong to, you flop yourself down onto the soft, luxuios pillows and sigh happily. You close your eyes and listen to the sound of the breeze rushng through the many leaves on the hedge walls and iron fence bars, wondering how you could've been so lucky to find such a wonderful place to rest your tired feet. Yawning again, you let yourself slip into a comforted sleepy daze, surrounded by blue velvet.

"Hey!" a voice yells, startling you awake. You jump up and stumble groggily as you fall out of the soft blue bed. "What are you doing sleeping in my bed?" the voice above your head calles down, shuffling it's feet as you try to stand. "I can understand why you'd want to, but don't you consider that maybe someone else might want to sleep in it too? Like, say, the owner?!" it continues, and you catch a hint of amusement in his voice. You finally get to your feet and look at the large horse with a mane and tail the color of a firey sunset. His dark eyes sparkle at your expression when you look upon his strangely beautiful black and white coat, shimmering in the warm evening sun. "Surprised? Horses don't normally have lovely beds like that, do they?" he laughs heartily and grins toothily.

You shake your head, still a little surprised to see a horse, and one with such odd markings. He chuckles a little more, swishing his striking little tail. "My name is Aevuvesu-ruvian, which means fire's light, but you can call me Aev. I'm an Oreysa Horse from a place far away called Silponi. I left there when I was just a foal to live in a place where I could explore and learn, and run free." he tells you, his beautiful dark eyes still shining with amusement. He turns around and and takes a running jump, landing neatly on the soft velvet cushions. "I went to so many different places. Deep forests, busy towns, quaint little villages and farms and meadows and realms. But I could never find a place where I was truely happy. I found that most places I went, where humans lived and dominated, I was chased after. They wanted to catch me and tame me because I was so different than any horse they'd ever seen. but I didn't want to be tamed. Wild blood runs through my veins, and I would be forever sad if I was."

You watch the beautiful horse as he shifts comfortably on his soft midnight colored bed, seeing why anybody would want to catch him. He looks at your sideways, through dark eyes, and says, "I don't think they could catch me anyway. I'm too fast for them.". He chuckes and continues, "Too smart, too. No offense, traveler, but some humans are very dim witted and slow. Even the least intellegent creature could outsmart one if it really tried." You smile back, nodding in agreement as you think of some of the humans you've met in your travels. "You're different though, I can tell. Being in this garden proves that."

Yawning, you stand and stretch your still tired muscles. "Still sleepy traveler? I'd offer you my bed again, but I don't know if you'd want to sleep with me. I might roll over and squash you." he laughs. You shake your head and tell him that's fine. "Well then, I wish you much luck in the rest of your travels. Come back and see me again sometime so I can make fun of humans some more." he calls out as you wave and turn to leave.
