Jewel's Pets

You enter the quiet clearing, surrounded by ancient looking trees, swaying in the warm breeze. You look around, checking for any sign of life. A pair of eyes looks back at you from inside a small bush. "Hello?" you ask, creeping toward the piercing eyes. Suddenly, the creature jumps forward, causing you to fall backwards.

He laughs at your reaction and sits calmly at your feet. "Hello traveller! I didn't scare you, did I?" he asks jokingly, a cat-like grin on his face. "I'm sorry about that, but I couldn't resist having some fun. My name's Troncian. It means Sly Clouded Cat, in the old language. What brings you to my forest?" he asks. Another voice speaks from beyond the large blue feline, "YOU'RE forest??" is asks, obviosuly disagreeing with this. Another, slightly smaller feline lurks out of the shadows and glares at Troncian.

"Yes!" he says defiantly, then grins sheepishly as the smaller feline walks towards him. "This is Concilin, or Dark Shadow Heart. She's.. um... " he stammers as she walks closer to him, "She's rather protective of this forest. Crazy cat, she thinks it belongs to her." he says before running behind you.

Concilin laughs and smiles up at you, "That's because it is. He just followed me here, but I found it. It's a nice place, isn't it? So quiet and peaceful. I like it here. I'm glad you came to visit too, traveller. We don't get many guests here. There are a few others you should meet." she smiles softly, leading you to a small area beyond the clearing. She stands behind you as you walk on, and you notice a few other cats, two of them looking somewhat like Concilin and Troncian.

"Hello," the two obviously siblings chime loudly, romping forward past the smaller, black and rainbow feline and striped orange feline. "My name's Trodian," the first feline says, bounding up to you, "It means Sly Willow Cat." He purrs proudly, showing you his feather's spots. The second cat follows closely behind and says, "And I'm Conlitlin, which means Dark Blue Angel." she continues as she bounces on her brother. The orange cat walks slyly up to you and grins broadly in his feline way, "Hello, my name's Tromagio. It means Sly Magic Warrior. Fits me well, doesn't it? Nice meeting you." he says and walks off to where the siblins are. The last feline walks slowly closer and smiles slightly, obviously shy. "I'm Hycrahin. It means Gentle Guardian Rainbow. Nice to meet you traveller." she says quietly, reaching forward to rub against your leg. You smile and reach down to pet the shy feline. "We should be off though traveller. We still have a few places to explore!" Trodian says excitedly, pouncing on his sister. "Nice meeting you though! Please come back!" the four of them chime together and bound off with Concilin back to the clearing.
