Jewel's Pets

You wander into a silent garden, kissed slightly by the low, orangy golden sunlight. Flowers sway gently every time a slight breeze passes, dancing and swaying like an ocean wave. So sureal, you think, wondering if this place is somehow timeless, catching the sun at twilight and holding there for all eternity. Just as you begin walking further into this magical garden, a slight movement catches your eye. But as you turn to see what it could be, whatever it was darts behind a tall hedge wall, avoiding your glance. "Is anyone there?" you call out, wanting to see whatever it was.

Silence fills your ears again and you wonder if it was just your imagination. You turn back to begin walking again, still wanting to see more of this garden. Before you even get one step forward, a soft voice answers back, "Yes.. someone's here. I... I guess you startled me.". It's soft voice rings out through the timeless garden, amking the flowers dance even more. "You're a traveler, are you not? I guess... I can trust you then." she continues. You glance back to where the voice is coming from and see a pretty little creature walk out from behind the hedge. Her soft looking violet mane blows like the flowers in the slight breeze.

You smiles at her hesitation and tell her, soothingly, that you won't hurt her. She smiles a little back and walks forward, toward you. "My name is Oli-io. Translated, it means Soft Warrior. I am a Sarae from Silponi. I was brought here by Littlesapphire some time ago to help protect the gardens." she tells you, looking up at the motionless sky. "I picked to live in this garden... because I could feel something in it. That sky.. Don't you feel it too?" she asks, looking hopeful and mysterious at the same time.

You follow her gaze and look upon the dusky sky, streaked with pink and orange. You nod down to her in agreement, and listen as she continue. "It's almost as if the sun refuses to go down and leave us here. This dusk lasts a lifetime here. Eventually, the sun will set, and then night will last a lifetime. It's very beautiful..." she almost whispers those past few words and lays down in the soft grass. "I suppose, traveler, you'd better go back before you lose track of time. Many have before, and end up staying for weeks thinking it was only a few hours. But.. please come back and visit me again." she smiles and closes her eyes. You sile back and turn to leave.

Oli-io was adopted at Silponi
