Website Links

This page is still under construction, and probably always will be, as I'm always looking for another good link.

I've done quite a bit of looking all over the web for the best free paint programs, graphics, html help, and other adoption site help, and here is what I've found for you ^_^

Free painting programs
Reaconverter Pro: It's not a paint program, exactly. But it's very nifty in that you can take your bitmap images that you draw in MSPaint, convert them to gif files, and make the background transparent ^_^ Very useful!

Paint Shop Pro 3: This is really just a trial version, BUT it just so happens that the trial never expires. Pretty cool, huh? This is an easier version of what I have, but it's still very useful and has lots of neat tools!

Paint Shop Pro 4: Again, a trial version that never expires ^_^ I've never tried version 4 before, but I'd imagine it's got some nice things that 3 doesn't.

ImageForge: I've not tried this one, either, but from the sound of it, it seems like a nice program :)

Pixia: I just downloaded this and began to play with it, and I must say.. it's certainly an interesting program! Something I would recommend anyone to try, especially if they don't have anything else to use. It might take some time to get used to, but it's nice. Plus, right on the page, you can find links to tutorials :)

Project Dogwaffle: I've never tried it myself, but it sounds and looks like it's a nice program. Give it a try!

Buttonz & Tilez: A really neat (from the sound of it) program that easily lets you make raised buttons and seamless tiles that you can use as backgrounds ^_^ Not only that, but if you click on the software link at the bottom, you can see all the other neat things they make.

FlamingText: It's not really a program at all, but a webpage where you can go and make really neat text banners for your webpage. They can look like they're on fire, or glowing, made of bricks, or have a lense flare. Just click on the little thing that says "More options" under the box that says "Your name". You can also do buttons, get clipart, fonts, and many other things there.

GifWorks: Again, not a program, but a webpage that allows you to edit your GIF files, croping, flipping, and even making the image transparent. Very nifty and handy if you need to edit your gif files ^_^

Free graphics
Sweetwater Valley: That's right, everyone. Sweetwater Valley, to anyone that's been around long enough, was one of the first adoption websites out there, and we all loved starluck and her critters. But now you can go and download her old images and do whatever you like with them (as long as it's for personal, nonprofit websites). If you can please donate to her ^_^

Dee Dreslough's Gallery: Dee Dreslough has been one of my favorite artists for a very long time. She offers free graphics on her website that you can take, color on, trace, post on your webpage, and do whatever you want to, so long as you don't say that you drew it. It's nice to link back to her, too.

Free-Graphics: Tons of clipart, buttons, backgrounds, and even design sets. Very neat.

HTML help
PageTutor: This is a downloaded tutorial that is supposed to be quite helpful, and it's free! ^_^ I never tried it myself, so I don't know. Also, on that page, there are links for other tutorials.

Lissa Explains is All: An easy to understand html help page made just for kids ^_^ Very helpful, especially for beginners, and lots of fun. Just watch your eyes! The page is VERY bright.

HTML Goodies: You can go here to learn more about HTML, and you can also read about others things, like java, style sheets, or xml if you really want to get fancy ^_^

Cyberpet help
Cyberpet Help Site: A wonderful website with lots of different help for cyberpetting, including the cyberpet netiquette. It also has the Cyberpet Search Site! Many, many different websites on that ^_^
